Women’s cricket is no longer just “on the rise” — it is a powerhouse of talent, ambition, and community. This September, Pretoria proudly welcomes the WTSL (Women’s Tshwane Super League), a new and exciting chapter for women’s cricket in Tshwane.
The WTSL is more than a tournament. It is a platform created to showcase skill, nurture potential, and inspire the next generation of female cricketers.
What is the WTSL?
The Women’s Tshwane Super League (WTSL) is a high-performance women’s cricket league based in Pretoria, designed to strengthen and grow the women’s game in the Tshwane and broader Gauteng region.
The league brings together talented players, dedicated coaches, and passionate supporters to compete in a professional, competitive, and empowering environment.
Why the WTSL?
The WTSL was established to address a critical need in women’s cricket — bridging the gap between club and professional levels.
Our objectives are to:
- Provide a high-performance platform for female cricketers
- Develop players through competitive match exposure
- Promote fitness, leadership, and personal growth
- Champion inclusivity and equal opportunity in sport
- Build a strong women’s cricket community in Tshwane
Our Vision
To make Pretoria a recognised hub for women’s cricket excellence by creating opportunities, developing talent, and empowering women through the game.
The WTSL Selection Process
Player squads consist of 13 players per age group.
There are 6 Franchises. Squads will be selected (up to 13 players) at the Player Auction Event that will be live streamed. (date of the event will be communicated)
Each team will consist of the following (4 Primary School, 4 High School & 5 Seniors)
